Ok time for a major revamp here methinks...... long overdue perhaps..... but nothing too drastic ya here.....

I'm HF - sometimes known as Fishy or FishyBloke... me full regal name is Happy Fisherman and I've been on planet Feesch for over 7 yrs now... quite scary lol. Didn't do much for the first couple of yrs, stayed  as what's known as whitebait, i.e. a non-goldie. Kinda ventured out quietly to me first event way back in March 2002 which was a Scottish night out in Falkirk at the MegaBowl. Apparently it's no longer there.... shame.

After that there was no holding me back; attended the first Britbash that year, even made the stocks for LM to pop his head thru and raise some cash lol. Think that weekend was so hot and sunny I actually got my one and only tan..... cos usually I just burn and peel.... typical Scotsman, fair skin and ginger haired. Lovely bloke all round... Since then I've attended plenty of meets up and down the country, and hosted a few up this way as well.... most recently having a weekend in the rain at Tummel Valley.

As most folks can probably guess from my nickname, I love to get out and about fishing; more specifically flyfishing for trout. I love the peace and quiet and de-stress time.

I'm originally a Fifer, born in St. Andrews and brought up in Glenrothes, but last month finally made a major decision to move house nearer work in Linlithgow. Have been doing the 65 mile round trip for the best part of 10 yrs, so very happy to find a nice wee house in Bo'ness, just 2.7 miles from work. Even if it is the house of horrors..... got plenty of work to do and plenty of time to do it. So far not made the cycle to work, but I have at least bought a bike..... maybe tomorrow

I also love gardening, bit of a late starter in this but got quite into it. Like me hanging baskets and tubs.... fuchsia's and lilies especially. And at least in this garden there aint so much grass to cut..... when I first moved in the front garden was chokka with weeds and thistles but that's all been ripped out and slowly getting replanted with nice stuff such as lavener, buddliea, bergenia etc etc. Can't remember all the names.....

Other likes of mine include reading and crosswords........ and quite partial to a beer as well..... occasionally !!! Getting back into the camping that we did as kids again although this year for the summerbash I decided to hotel it given the amount of rain. Good choice as the club field was kinda squeegy and water logged....

Have met a fair few good feeschers in me travels around the UK..... far too many to name you all individually but you know who you are !!!

I'm sure there is loads more that I can tell you about me, feel free to ask away. I don't bite.... much !

In me feeschy life I run several groups. In no particular order, I run the Scotland, U2, Only Fools and Horses, Quizzical and Gardening groups.  Much fun is had by all... so feel free to pop in and have a gander !!!
