I joined Feesch in May 2005 shortly after the end of a long term and long distance relationship. A very good friend of mine for many years salsalass took me along to the Spring Bash that year to cheer me up. Have to say it was pretty much a turning point in my life in many ways. Sadly my best friend has just passed away and there are no words to express my grief.
I'd been on the net for many years prior to that and had actually met my ex through a chat room what now seems like a million years ago. We were very happy for quite a long time but lots of things started to go wrong for a myriad of reasons. It ended. Nuff said!
Have to admit I came away from that one night at the Spring Bash wondering what on earth this Feesch thing was all about. I met some very colourful and some larger than life characters who I now consider to be some of my best friends.
Other major events have happened in my life over the past couple of years too. My Dad died just before Christmas in 2004 and my Mum died in May 2006. They had both lived with me in my house for many years along with my daughter before she went off to Uni.
In a couple of years I moved from quite a hectic household to just me. But just as I got used to my peaceful solitude my daughter moved back home.
My friends on Feesch helped keep me sane during the bad times when Mum was ill last year and were incredibly supportive when she died. There was always someone at the end of the phone and sometimes here for me despite them being in different parts of the country. What value can you put on that kind of friendship?
I started keeping a journal when I first joined Feesch, it helps at times. It's there for everyone on Feesch to read, warts and all, so long as they are visible. I like to know who has visited and is so interested in my mundane life.
I've been on the net longer than I care to remember (something like over 10 years). Happy to chat to anyone who likes a good conversation and perhaps have a giggle at times as we can't be too serious all of the time. Feesch is certainly offering plenty of opportunities for meeting some brilliant people and having loads of laughs. The events I have been to have all been, um well, something else. I am certainly having a lot of fun. If you look at the photos of the events I have been to I seem to be smiling and laughing a lot so that must be pretty good.
I have been on holiday to Orlando and Fuengirola with a few Feeschy friends in the last couple of years. I have a few pictures in the gallery on my Things I Like page. You can also see more here.
Now that you got this far please take time to say you have passed by and sign my Thanks.
MOTO GPI'm a huge fan of Moto GP. My Dad was a mad keen motorcyclist and some of my earliest memories are of me being more or less strapped to his back being taken out on one of his bikes. I had my own little crash hat. Used to go a lot to Mallory Park to see racing there and if there wasn't anything happening with the big bikes we'd go watch the scrambles. My first love though was the big bikes. The sound, the smell, the leathers................... Valentino Rossi fails to regain the Moto GP World Championship in 2007. Can he make a come back this season?
