Profiles

Profile Sections

Profiles in Feesch v3 are now broken down into lots of different sections, instead of the long sprawling mess that we had before which involved a lot of scrolling.

Each section can be viewed just by clicking the appropriate icon in the toolbar. The cocktail glass Party sectin will show you which Feesch Parties that person has signed up to, the rosette Awards section will show you which awards they've won, and so on.

Pic'n'Mix

Most people are only interested in a few of these sections most of the time. Rather than viewing one section at a time, you can use the sweetie Pic'n'Mix function.

You can pick as few or as many sections as you like, whatever interests you, whatever you want to see by default when you visit a profile. Those sections will then be displayed one after another, in fact selecting all of them will give you something very similar a profile from Feesch v2.

When you visit a profile, you can still choose to visit any of the sections, whether they are in your pic'n'mix selection or not.

New Layouts

There are many aspects of profiles that have been re-thought, like Kwikies for example. When you send a Kwikie, you are shown a list of Kwikies you've sent recently and the ones that you use the most - as well as the traditional category list for selecting something different.

Some areas like groups Groups and parties Parties have just been laid out to look clearer and nicer, be more intuitive or maybe include one or two more details.

Consistency

One of the key principals of Feesch v3 is a move towards increased consistency, when things all look and work the same way, it doesn't take as long to learn your away around.

With profiles, the different areas don't just look more consistent now, they work more consistently too. Unlike Feesch v2, hits Hits and visitors Visits are now counted for any section. This was a huge area of confusion before, for example on journals Journals where visits would be recorded but not hits. Now, if anyone visits any part of a profile, a hit is recorded and (depending on preferences) so is a visit.

If you have a custom navigation, you can add a link to someone's profile very easily, just click the note, select the section and press save!

flickr Flickr

An entirely new feature of Feesch v3 is that you can now embed Flickr account based slideshows on your profile. All you need to do is supply your Flickr account name and Feesch will do the rest.
