Feesch was created as an ICQ User List, but sadly ICQ has dwindled in popularity over the years and there was a real danger of dragging the site down with it.

To counter this, from the 1st of May 2007, Feesch removed the "ICQ Only" restriction and now lets anyone from the UK join as long as they are 13 years old or over.

As ICQ became less important to Feesch, the "Message" and "Add" buttons were removed. ICQ details are listed with the other Instant Messenger programs (MSN, Yahoo and Skype), on the same part of the profile as the e-mail address if supplied. If there is no ICQ number displayed then you can't send them an ICQ message!

The number at the top of the profile is no longer necessarily an ICQ number. From the 1st of May 2007, it is merely a unique "Feesch ID". On older profiles the ID happens to be the same as the ICQ number to ensure all existing links would continue to work.
