I split from my wife of 5 years in March 2000. I had been chatting to Lindsey since December of the previous year. She was just coming out of a messy relationship following on from a divorce. I was her sounding board when she was feeling down. She cheered me up when I was a bit low, we were good together although we hadn't actually met in real life.
We decided to meet in Real Life. We met for a coffee in Ashford in Kent, had lunch, talked endlessly, as we had done on the phone previously. Another meeting followed in Maidstone in Kent, this time she had her daughter with her, whom I took to straight away. From then on it just snowballed, we hit it off so well we couldn't stay away from one another.
I took her away for a weekend in Bournemouth, we had a lovely time. We went to meet her friends in Luton, stopped off in Milton Keynes and got side-tracked at a jewellers, I saw a lovely ring and decided to pop the question, after asking her father's permission.
It has been a fairy tale ever since. We decided to add to the family as I had always wanted a child of my own, while I had a preference for a boy, I wasn't going to be put out either way. As it happened, Lindsey fell pregnant virtually straight away, and a scan revealed it was a boy...Heaven!
Although it was a long and difficult pregnancy, we now have a beautiful baby son, Lewis James Adams, born at 25 minutes to 1 in the early hours of Saturday Morning 23rd December.
